No! spray tans do not contain SPF! Always use sunscreen outdoors.

What should I wear to my appointment?
Loose, dark clothing and open-toed shoes. Avoid tight bras or leggings that could rub off the tan.
Can I wear makeup or deodorant during the spray?
It’s best to go makeup-free and avoid deodorant or perfume, they can block the tan from absorbing evenly.
Will my tan stain my clothes or sheets?
It may transfer slightly before your first rinse, but it usually washes out easily from most fabrics.
What happens during a spray tan session?
A technician or automated booth evenly sprays a tanning solution onto your skin. The solution reacts with your skin to create a bronze color.
How long does it take?
Usually about 10–15 minutes total.
Is the solution safe for my skin?
Most spray tans use DHA (dihydroxyacetone), which is FDA-approved for external use. Just avoid inhaling it or getting it in your eyes or mouth.
How long should I wait to shower?
Typically 6–8 hours (or as directed by your technician). Rapid tans may allow rinsing after 2–4 hours.

How can I make my tan last longer?
Moisturize daily, avoid long hot showers, and gently pat dry after bathing. Avoid exfoliating until you’re ready for the tan to fade.
What if my tan looks too dark or uneven?
Don’t panic! It often evens out after your first rinse. If needed, exfoliate lightly or contact your salon for a touch-up.
Can I get a spray tan while pregnant?
Generally, yes, but check with your doctor first to be safe. (Avoid Inhaling spray, consider patch testing due to increased skin sensitivity during pregnancy)
Can I work out or swim after getting a spray tan?
Avoid sweating or swimming for at least 24 hours after your session to let the tan fully develop.
